  Ghamro is a collective society for INDIVIDUAL RIGHT OWNERS and has nothing to do with Associations, unfortunately due to Ghamro's past which is Cosga that dealt with Associations some old Musicians still believe Ghamro should be dealing with Associations and that has been a figment of their imagination till now. Fact is these Associations were used in siphoning monies from Cosga but when Ghamro came into existence that narrative changed but Akosua and some Musicians are still live in the past. Akosua and these musicians sponsored by some old disgruntled Ghamro Board Members formed an Association called UNICOM GHAMRO with some unconfirmed 75 members and their maim objective was to BLACKMAIL; SABOTAGED and UNDERMINE GHAMRO all in the name of scrutiny/pressure group. Please note that GHAMRO consists of over 5000 INDIVIDUAL RIGHT OWNERS. Vocalist and Instrumentalist Kwadwo Ntim Mensah known in Showbiz as Big Joe Chante gave a stunning performance at the recently held Foklex Media Awards at the National Theatre. Raising the curtains for the night the TIMA Hitmaker  performed Tima and Twe Ben Mi to an amazing audience. His vocal dexterity and reach of his high notes simply took the audience to a different level and by the time he hit his last note it was met with great applause from the great audience. After such a performance the show was ready to roll and the night indeed was a memorable one.   Nii Ayite Hammond, a member of the Board of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has responded to claims that Black Sherif deserved the Album of the Year award in the 24th edition of the scheme more than King Promise who won with his ‘5 Star’ album.  Speaking to Kwame Dadzie on  Joy FM’s Twitter Spaces , Hammond acknowledged that Black Sherif had a good album (The Villain I Never Was) but King Promise’s ‘5 Star’ album also passed the litmus test.  “It is true that ‘The Villain I Never Was’ ticks all the boxes, the same way King Promise’s album also ticks all the boxes. Ghana is blessed with a lot of mineral resources especially Gold to the extent that it was initially called The Gold Coast. I'm not a historian and will not try to write or rewrite any history but will move straight to my issue today. Ghana has been mining Gold & other resources for over 100years and for all these years these activities were being streamlined & regulated. Ashanti Gold now Anglogold in Obuasi have been the major mining company and Newmont in Akwatia have also been the major miners of Diamond.
