President John Dramani Mahama has launched Ghana’s National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy, outlining a bold vision to position the country as a leading AI hub in West Africa and across the continent. Ghana formally communicated its intention to establish a diplomatic mission in Singapore during a High-Level Consultative Visit led by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honouable James Gyakye Quayson (MP) from 10th to 15th April, 2026. The visit formed part of a broader strategy to expand Ghana’s diplomatic footprint in Asia to strengthen engagement with key global economic hubs. The mission is expected to enhance Ghana’s diplomatic presence, improve consular services for its citizens and serve as a platform to deepen cooperation in trade, investment, technology and capacity building.
