Akosua Agyapong is angry because she was finally told to do the Right thing.

 

Ghamro is a collective society for INDIVIDUAL RIGHT OWNERS and has nothing to do with Associations, unfortunately due to Ghamro's past which is Cosga that dealt with Associations some old Musicians still believe Ghamro should be dealing with Associations and that has been a figment of their imagination till now.

Fact is these Associations were used in siphoning monies from Cosga but when Ghamro came into existence that narrative changed but Akosua and some Musicians are still live in the past.

Akosua and these musicians sponsored by some old disgruntled Ghamro Board Members formed an Association called UNICOM GHAMRO with some unconfirmed 75 members and their maim objective was to BLACKMAIL; SABOTAGED and UNDERMINE GHAMRO all in the name of scrutiny/pressure group. Please note that GHAMRO consists of over 5000 INDIVIDUAL RIGHT OWNERS.

Now for years they've been making senseless noise into the ears of the Attorney-General and because the AG was not too conversant with our operations indeed gave that useless Association hearing.

They started with allegations of Present Ghamro Board Members chopping Monies left right centre so the Attorney-General ordered a thorough Audit into the Books of GHAMRO and when the findings came out it was clear the Sponsors of these UNICOM GHAMRO Association who were former Board members of GHAMRO had blown over 2.3million Ghana cedis with NO ACCOUNTABILITY and were supposed to refund those monies back to Ghamro and we're still waiting on the Attorney-General to take action on those findings.

When those findings came out these UNICOM GHAMRO people went into hibernation and like submarines still fought Ghamro with useless and senseless Court injunction anytime Ghamro made a progressive move.

Just like I told you earlier when it comes to Collective Societies, it has nothing to do with Associations but only individual right owners. So UNICOM Ghamro as formed by Akosua is as Useless as it is else Shatta and a few others can also form other Associations to come and make noise but those useless things has no place in our law books.

GHAMRO is the only LEGALLY mandated organisation in our statute books to handle music right in Ghana.

Now this is why Akosua Agyepong is angry, Akosua is NOT angry because Akwaboah was allegedly given 250ghc before he died, She is not angry because Ghamro has not accounted for their stewardship in fact she is walking around with annual report provided to Members by Ghamro so it's far from that, Akosua is ANGRY because She used her UNICOM GHAMRO to go to the Copyright Office to demand for information about GHAMRO and the Copyright Administrator who has all the experience in that office told her to go to Ghamro for all the information she needs and that is the reason why she is angry.

I mean why will you get angry when asked to do the right thing? Or does she want us to also go and form CROCODILE GHAMRO to come and also be disturbing everyone, I mean that will be Chaos and that is the main Reason why the framers of the law made GHAMRO an organisation that deals with INDIVIDUAL RIGHT OWNERS and not some Drumming and Dancing ASSOCIATIONS so the earlier they get that into their coconut heads the better it will be for them.

Will conclude by telling the Attorney-General to stick to the right path and not bring any politics into the organisation because the Real RIGHT OWNERS are watching Closely.
