Government Promoting Lotto & Betting INDISCRIMINATELY after banning Celebrities - FOCAP  In 2020, Gaming Commission banned  celebrities, including Shatta Wale and Wendy Shay, from endorsing Betting Companies. In 2022, the Creative Arts Advocacy Group FOCAP met with Gaming Commission, and their explanation was that as long as the Celebrities do not assure Gamblers of winnings, they can engage with the Betting companies. Shockingly, this same government is now taking taxes from betting & lotto companies & also 10% from gamblers after cancelling the endorsement deals of celebrities. Indeed Government through the Gaming Commission & National Lotteries have endorsed Adverts of Betting and Lotto companies and are showing them on all Mainstream Radio & Tv Stations including the government television station GTV in fact the adverts are assuring Gamblers of 100% Wins. This government has Discriminated against the creative industry through such hypocritical decisions...

The Head & Board of Bank of Ghana(BOG) Must Resign - FOCAP. FOCAP as an Advocacy and a Civil Society Group would like to add its voice to the numerous calls for the Board of BOG to resign. For a Country that came out of Covid broke according to the government leading to various measures to save the economy including the introduction of various taxes and also going to the IMF on our knees for a bailout, to have an institution like the Central Bank start a building which initial cost was 80million dollars and later increased to 120million dollars and now heading towards 250million dollars only shows how Reckless & irresponsible the Board of BOG have been. According to BOG, the building started around 2021 in the midst of Covid when the government was struggling for funds to even buy common vaccines. I mean, how irresponsible can one be? Today, this same BOG that's putting up a 250 million dollar headquarters has reported a loss of about 60billion Gh Cedis emanating from them ...

The 1st Edition of Manille Artist Night took place at Community Two on the 5th of August 2023 inside Tema. Speech Production in collaboration with Hustle Hard Studios put together this Event which witnessed a lot of budding Artist. The event which initially was focused on Artist from only Tema and it environs but saw Artist coming all the way from Achimota & Madina. Amin Ola a promising Act raised the curtains with a stunning performance which raised the bar for the rest of the performances and indeed they all lived up to expectations.                                              Performances from Artist like Honey B, Songzkid, TMT, Jeff Stereo, AT, Kwabena Ike, Eli Eli and the rest got the sizeable audience in a real frenzy mood.  I had to Secretly film the UNCOMPLETED Kumasi AMPHITHEATRE. A Kumasi based Journalist who went to the site of the AMPHITHEATRE with the hope of witnessing the commissioning was shocked to see just 10 workers on site and asked not to film. At around 10am on the 1st of August 2023 the Advocacy Group FOCAP went live on its Social media page as they showed the Current state of the AMPHITHEATRES. It will be recalled that the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts & Culture Hon. Okraku-Mantey somewhere in May promised that the project will be completed and commissioned by the end of July since the Funds was already in Accounts from the World Bank. Interestingly the pictures and videos coming from the site clearly showed slow progress Leaving stakeholders in total disbelief.
