Unveiling of nominees for the 25th edition of the annual Ghana Music Awards (2024 GMA). Robert Klah, PRO, Charterhouse, outlined a tall itinerary of activities in the pipeline to unpack the 25th edition of TGMA this year.  The activities will include a school tour, a mega concert in the city that has yet to be announced, and a summit after the awards night. The awards scheme is designed to recognize, celebrate the hard work and dedication of various stakeholders and players in the music industry. Government struggling to finish one(1) Amphitheater out of the nine(9) Theater Manifesto Promise. Focap has seen pictures and videos of a yet to be completed Amphitheater being constructed in Kumasi, and it’s quite unfortunate how this government doesn’t take the Creative Art sector seriously. As we’re all aware, this government in their 2016 manifesto promised the Creative Arts Sector Nine(9) Ultramodern Theaters if they win the elections. We’re in March, 2024 that’s 8years after elections and officially their last term in office, and they are yet to complete even one(1) single theatre. Last year, in April 2023, the Deputy Minister of Arts Mr Mark Okraku Mantey informed the industry that they were unable to build the ultramodern THEATERS, but they would rather commission one(1) AMPHITHEATER in Kumasi in July 2023. Takoradi Technical University, TTU, has signed a 5-year Memorandum of Understanding with Kantanka Group to establish technology centres for the manufacture of drones, lithium batteries and vehicular tyres. This the University hopes to achieve through the establishment of Lithium battery, tyre and drone manufacturing technology centres by the Chongqing Transport University in China who also have a partnership with the Kantanka Group of Companies. The MoU aims at not only establishing these centres but also providing students with opportunity to have training relating to their feild of study and have attachment with Kantanka Group.
