When Bimbo from Nigeria complained about her new movie being shown by Ghanaian TV channels without her permission, Ola Michael who is part of this government told us that she was just doing publicity for her movie whiles the National Communications Authority Minister and National Film Authority Secretary were seriously trying to find a solution to the complaint.


Now when the same Ghanaian TV showed Tyler Perry's new movie "STRAW" without permission the same Ola Michael is here telling Mahama to give him power to head the classification committee and he'll use 2months to solve this illegality. All of a sudden Ola now sees the illegality in the Act?


Do you think Ola Michael should be given that position? In terms of competence I'll say yes but looking at both scenarios I expected him to act as a professional rather than excuse me to say just a pundit speaking his mind especially when he himself is a Movie Producer. I'll prefer a BullGod to lead that Charge especially when Ola himself admits that COURAGE will be a major factor in this fight but if Ola still gets the nod why not we'll support him and moving forward we'll expect him to place Principle and Professionalism above Pettiness.


Fact is we don't even need a Classification Committee to fight this menace especially when we have an NCA, NMC and a sleeping copyright office situated right under the nose of the Attorney General in charge of protecting our rights as creatives. The committee will just be an add-on but not the ultimate solution. 


Like I said I was shocked when Ola rubbished the Nigerian complaint especially as an Executive Producer and being partly Nigerian but hypocritically went hard when Tyler's STRAW was being abused.


I guess the STRAW is now breaking the camel's back.


Recently Lilwin came out to warn Ghanaian Tv Channels not to show his movies but nobody gave a damn and that's the kind of Hypocritical industry we live in.


Let us be Principled in our ways and treat wrong as wrong and right as right instead of misleading people with our double standards.


Leadership requires Fairness and not Biased Judgement.
