RNAQ40 was positive for Gh Tourism.

Image
Last night in Ivory Coast while having my dinner I had an interaction with these guys at the restaurant which is normal over here because of their friendly nature yes you can get a hug from an opposite sex who is a total stranger and it's normal. Now, when these guys realised I was from Ghana the first thing they showed me on their phones was the RNAQ40 party which was held at the independence Square and they were super excited about it. Initially, as a typical Ghanaian I saw it as a complete waste of money since the Bill gates, Dangotes and co with unlimited cash will rather spend on Charity than to be this wasteful but after my encounter with my new friends I realised it has rather opened Ghana to the world more in a positive and unifying way. I don't know how you feel about it but trust me your man has really made us proud out there and these francophone guys would love to come to the next RNAQ party 😃. For once I refuse to think like a Ghanaman cause afterall a little ch...

7 lessons from "Attitude Is Everything: Change Your Attitude... Change Your Life!" by Jeff Keller

"Your attitude is the one thing you have complete control over. You can't always control your circumstances, but you can always control your attitude. And your attitude will determine how you respond to your circumstances." 7 lessons from "Attitude Is Everything: Change Your Attitude... Change Your Life!" by Jeff Keller:     1. Your Attitude is Your Window to the World: Keller emphasizes that your attitude shapes how you perceive and interact with the world. A positive attitude allows you to see opportunities and possibilities, while a negative attitude can cloud your judgment and limit your potential.     2. Think, Speak, and Act Positively: The book highlights the importance of maintaining a positive mindset through your thoughts, words, and actions. By consciously choosing positive thoughts and speaking affirmatively, you can create a more empowering environment for yourself.     3. You’re a Human Magnet: Keller explains that your attitude attract...

"Choose people who will mention and recommend your name in rooms where you’ve not even stepped foot in before." - Dr. Daniel McKorley

Image
I come across this "advice" on social media often, and it’s a sentiment I agree with.  What this "statement" implies is the importance of choosing to invest in your "personal board of advisors": people who genuinely care about your success, who believe in you, who envision you achieving great things, and who are eager to connect the dots on your behalf. These are people you should have already nurtured relationships with, demonstrated your worth to, and positioned yourself effectively to receive their mention. However, the unwritten part of this is that you also must be doing that for others, saying their names loudly in rooms where there is opportunity. It means connecting, introducing, making paths, and clearing barriers for others to succeed too. And to go a step further; if you are in a position to be in that room where opportunities are spoken of, where you get the privilege to say someone's name -- think about whose name you will speak about. Thi...

‘From Owning Billions To Bankruptcy, Indebtedness’, Skit Maker Mr Macaroni Opens Up On Financial Struggles, Betrayal

Image
Popular Nigerian comedian, actor, and activist, Adebowale ‘Debo’ Adedayo, widely known as Mr Macaroni, has shared a deeply personal story about his past financial struggles, leading to bankruptcy, indebtedness and suffering betrayal. In a heartfelt post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Thursday, the entertainer revealed how he became a victim of financial scam – a failed investment, and financial recklessness, which left him in crippling debt, amounting to over half a billion Naira. Mr Macaroni, known for his comic skits and social activism, disclosed that the financial troubles began around 2021/2022 when he fell victim to a scam and simultaneously lost all his savings in a failed investment. Despite the setback, he kept his struggles private. “If you know me well enough, you would know I do not like to share my problems. I could be going through the worst and at the same time helping others solve their own problems, but I just would never share mine,” he wrote. The comedia...

Find the balance between making noise and being valuable on social media - Dr. Daniel McKorley writes

Image
In my 25 years of leading teams, building multiple businesses, and recruiting talent, I have noticed a pattern: the loudest employees on social media often deliver the least value and impact.  The ones constantly posting about “working extra hours,” “putting in the work,” and “posing as experts in their field" on LinkedIn more often than not, are underperformers. The real top performers are too busy executing. However... that doesn’t mean you should shy away from sharing your accomplishments either. I know it’s not easy and it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but if you want to go far in your career, you have to be very vocal about your work. Sure, there are "lowkey" people who are doing amazing and don’t need the publicity, but only a few of them get what they truly deserve. Your work won’t speak for itself—you have to Find the balance between making noise and being valuable, because real value isn’t in the noise, it’s in the results! We love saying, “My work will speak for...

Gideon Aryeequaye appointed as the Executive Secretary of CAA marks the beginning of a new dawn for the creatives.

Gideon Aryeequaye appointed as the Executive Secretary of CAA marks  the beginning of a new dawn for the creatives. Kojo Preko Dankwa (FOCAP President) writes I am happy with the current government in appointing a substantive executive secretary for the Creative Arts Agency(CAA).   Indeed, this shows the level of interest, energy, and zeal to see the Creative Arts sector grow up.  This is not a government that didn't take seriously the Creative Arts sector but rather toyed with the business and lives of the Creatives by shamelessly living it in the hands of the former  President's  Daughter (Gyankroma Akuffo Addo) to operate as if  it was her personal property.   Ministers couldn't speak the truth to power and did not have the balls to drop Gyankroma Akuffo Addo but rather allowed her to deepen the woes of the creative arts sector as the illegal executive secretary of the Creative Arts Agency. When FOCAP and I decided to blow the whistle of being citiz...
