In the quest to see the smooth running, progress and operation of the creative arts agency which is backed by the creative arts industry Act 1048 demands that the agency should have a board and executives to see the effectiveness and development of the agency.
Amidst pressure from Ghana’s most vibrant creative advocacy group, Foundation for Concerned Arts Professionals (FOCAP) on the Government to appoint a board and executives which the law demands, the deputy minister for creative arts and tourism Mark Okraku sets the records straight by vindicating FOCAP’s plea.
In an interview on Joy FM’s entertainment show SHOWBIZ A-Z with Kwame Dadzie, the deputy minister who once acted as the president of the creative art council now agency stated emphatically that there are indeed illegalities ongoing at the agency because the people occupying the agency are acting and not appointed by the creative arts industry Act 1048 hence recruitment will be done soon.
FOCAP has been on the neck of the Government to do the needful by appointing executives and establishing a board to see the smooth running of the agency.
