The Controversial Mural Paintings In Some Parts Of Accra By Gyankroma Akuffo Addo.

By Kojo Preko Dankwa - FOCAP President

Ms. Gyankroma Akuffo Addo, who is currently occupying (illegally) position as the executive secretary of Creative Arts Agency (CAA), somewhere in 2022, made all and sundry to understand what went into the Mural Paintings In Some Parts of Accra.

Ostensibly to do  beautification of the capital.  In an attempt to justify her works, Gyankroma Akuffo Addo put out a press release, which had too many loopholes.

1- The press release didn't  come up with the total amount for the  project.

2- The press release  couldn't  clarify in detail how much the so-called fund-raising accrued, which was undertaken by The Creative Arts Agency.

3- The statement gave three major sites, one of which was paid for by Gyankroma Akuffo Addo herself (Tetteh Quarahie). There was no detail on how much she personally paid for the project.

4- Private sector funded site 1, Ako Adjei without any cost indicated.

5- The statement was specific with the date when "Art for All was conceived (August 2018)" ,funds were also souced  sorely by Creative Arts Agency(CAA).

Creative Arts Agency (CAA) was established in 2020 by act of parliament Act1048 and not in 2018.

The question is, what Agency existed since 2018, what logo and identity did it have, and who was the head?

I went out there to check on the mural paintings, which Coral Paints provided the Paints as stated in the press release by Gyankroma Akuffo Addo.
