Selfishness & Vindictiveness destroying the Industry.

Even if you're deaf & dumb, nobody should tell you that we're in an industry plagued with Selfishness and Vindictiveness and these attributes can never grow any industry.

Recently Shatta had to cancel his 3 year old Freedom wave Concert just because a section of the industry now in power decided to use that power to sabotage him in order to favour their favourite.

I felt in the interest of the entire industry this current leadership would have delivered a decision that would have favoured both Brands so that in December we could have 2 huge concerts especially now that we might not be having the Afronations & Co.

As we all know they decided to use their influence to give one party all the days he needed to set up and the other party barely One day to set up even against the Policy of the National Sports Authority which gives at least two days for setup.

Obviously knowing that the one day will not work and instead of adjusting the dates they rather asked the other party to leave for all they care and as we'll have it now he has cancelled it accordingly.

Now if you are ready to let go of someone who is booking the entire stadium for someone who is booking an Arch in the stadium instead of having the 2 shows and you still think this decision is not from a Selfish and Vindictive place then you have no business working in this industry.

Fact is they cared less about his Fans, Sponsors, Vendors, Up & Coming Artist, Promoters, Graphic Designers, Dancers, Bouncers and to a large extent the industry which would have all benefited from the Freedom wave concert but as long as their selfish desire have been satisfied then so be it.

This Vindictiveness and Selfishness runs in every corner of this industry and it sometimes takes Grace and Genius levels to survive in this Jungle.

One thing that has sustained Shatta is his Fanbase/Fan Army and you describe them anyhow you want to, but he knows, and that's why he Respects and does not joke with them.

Imagine Shatta did not have his fanatics in this Selfish & Vindictive Jungle we call an industry like by now them go dey squeeze am from all corners but because of these same Fans he has survived it all.

Fact is, it took these same fanbase to fill an entire stadium, so if you think Fanbase or Fan Army's are not important, then that's up to you.

Like I've always been saying there are so many ways to kill cats in this business so if you think your target is the world and it's working for you then so be it but don't look down on another man's Hustle else they industry will excrete  you.

If you think Fan Army's are not important, that's your own cup of tea, but the stadium will still be there waiting for you to fill it with your algorithms, which is also possible.

My 2 cent advice to all is that know thyself and know Peace, know the kind of industry you find yourself in and work hard in your chosen direction to sustain your brand.

If you've chosen to lick boots in the Industry make sure you lick it well so you can see you reflection when you look in it and if you choose to target outside make sure you grow stronger wings to fly high over the local witches of the industry and if you choose to fight for the industry just know that you're on your own so you fight like a lone ranger with the skills of a snipper cause this Selfish & Vindictive industry has no place for collective thinking and purpose therefore focus on your chosen path and Journey on safely as you wish others well.
