See No Evil, Hear No Evil whiles Citizens Continue to Suffer and Suffer.

See No Evil, Hear No Evil whiles Citizens Continue to Suffer and Suffer.

By Enock Agyapong

In an analogy of a relationship, you can imagine how one feels when you talk to your spouse whose response is either absent minded or simply refuses to heed and keeps repeating the same things you complain about?

Then of course your only option might be to advice yourself which is where we're gradually getting to as a Nation.

It's clear that despite all our talking from morning to morning, nothing seems to change because those we are talking to have deliberately stuffed artificial tree trunks into their ears.

This scenario applies aptly to our politicians when they get into power as if it's some kind of baptism or spiritual embodiment.

You will recall how Ex- President Mahama described himself as having a dead-goat syndrome and going ahead with whatever he wanted without considering whatever the citizenry complained about.

In the same similar syndrome, Nana has followed suit that no matter our complaints he will fulfill his personal promise to God aka the building of his Cathedral.

Well that's not why I'm here today, my issue has to do with the positioning of opposition parties relative to the development  of our country when all they do is to engage in the criticism of eveything negatively.

Further to the extent that actions are taken to ensure that good government policies and programs does not see the light of day to the benefit of the citizenry.

Sadly all there is to this is for them to use it for campaign to assist them come into power?

Recall the posturing of the NDC regarding the IMF bailout to the extent that Party Bigwigs and economic analysts prayed that it never materialises even when the nation needed it badly else the economy will collapse.

Then again how can you blame the Opposition Party when high ranking members of the ruling party says they'll use the IMF money to make sure the opposition Party never comes to power as if the funds purpose is to do that.

Today we have a hung Parliament to the effect that the opposition is making sure no bill is passed whilst the ruling party is also doing whatever they have to ensure a majority to pass whatever bills whether it is in the interest of the citizens or not.

In all this tug of war it's the country that suffer and therefore never develops simply because the funds that's suppose to be used for development is rather channelled into politics.

You are struggling with the 8years yet you're talking of breaking the 8 instead of focusing on developing the Country.

How many of us remember the company Engineering & Planners aka EnP, well that's the company of former President Mahama's brother Ibrahim Mahama.

During President Mahama's days he was accused of giving contracts to him which I saw nothing wrong with it as long as he qualified to do the job.

In fact Ex President Kufour did not just give a contract to his brother Addo Kufour but gave him a Job in government yet these same people were the ones complaining about John Mahama giving Ibrahim Mahama Contracts.

I  remember how the then NPP opposition descended on the Government when they saw him patching the Tema Motorway road which was deteriorating only for us to find out that he was doing it for Ghana for FREE.

I remember how they defamed him just because his brother was the President and he also wanted to serve his country.

Even when they went into opposition the personal attacks on him never stopped till he sent one of them to court and stripped him naked off his properties then they started begging for mercy.

My point here is that if we have people who are ready to give back to Country when they are in power yet you have an opposition whose job is to only Criticize negatively at all cost then I'm at my wits as to how we can develop.

I have seen a lot of brothers, Aunties, Uncles and even Daughters holding powerful positions in this current government but I'm yet to see any of them doing anything personally for Ghana like Ibrahim did with a budget of 150million for the day & night dredging of the Odaw River for FREE.

All I hear everyday is new taxes to the extent of buying fuel at 100ghc per gallon yet the Country has seen No significant Growth.

The saddest part is when the government decides to harvest from where it has not sown.

I'll end by ranting one more time and leave them alone since they've decided to rule by seeing no evil and hearing no evil aka y3n tie obiaa.

This government promised the Music Industry

1. A Login System

2. Theaters Across the 9 regions

3. A fund for us to do business and for almost 7years they have done NONE OF THEM yet the small small royalties that Ghamro is sharing to its music right members, this government has decided to is hold on to their licence without any tangible reason making the users who already do not want to pay to use our Music for FREE.

I mean who does that apart from our  POLITICIANS.

I guess we all just have to stop complaining and when they come around during elections we take whatever they share and vote against them just to bring another set of the same politicians like the Assin style.

Maybe only God can save Ghana so we hope one day he'll Give us a True Leader and not these kind of Politrixians.

Long Live Ghana

Long Live the Vhim Crew.
