The Creative Industry Must Support Mark Darlington's Supreme Court Case against FDA Ban on Celebrities - Enock Agyepong

The CEO For Speech Music Mr Enock Agyepong has said that the Creative Arts Industry Must Support Mark Darlington in his case against the FDA Celebrity Ban Directive.

Speaking to Sammy Flex on his entertainment show on CTV, Mr Agyepong stated that if the Law does not bare citizens from Advertising Alcholic Drinks then there is no need for the FDA to Ban Celebrities from doing same since that will amount to Discrimination. If it's ok to advertise Alcohol after forinstance 8pm why stop Celebs from doing same he quizzed.

I agree with Mark Darlington for taking the matter to the Supreme Court for Interpretation.

In 2015 the FDA came up with a Directive Banning all Celebrities from Advertising Alcoholic Drinks which saw a lot of Celebrities losing huge sums of monies due to the abrogation of their endorsement deals.

Some Alcoholic companies took their sponsorship to the neighbouring countries and got same Celebrities to endorse and bring the adverts back to Ghana via social media.

Most of our local Events which were sponsors by these company withdrew their services and took their monies to our neighbouring countries therefore empoverishing our Celebrities and enriching their neighbouring counterparts.

Industry Must Support Mark in this Case because it's a case that will benefit the entire industry and not just him as an individual Mr. Agyepong Concluded.
